I know we have have had international student athletes at UC Davis. But the Long Beach State woman’s tennis team may take the cake. They have only one american on their team of 8 players. We have 0. Yes, they beat us today. That is not the point. I thought that the NCAA was going to put a limit on the number of foreign players a college could have on a team. Apparently this has not happened, but it should IMHO. We need all the help we can get to improve our Olympic sports performance, but giving full rides in these crucial sport to foreign players like LB does undermines that goal totally.

Each of the Slack State tennis teams has eight roster players, and on each team only two are American.

(Though perhaps we could recruit some foreigners for field hockey for a few years while the sport is still pretty much an emerging sport this side of the Mississippi River. We do have one Dutch player, but there must be some prospects in Asia or Down Under who could use an ag related degree.)

Well, Nevada men’s tennis just beat us. They have 7 out of 8 foreign players! This is just getting ridiculous. Is the NCAA even looking at this?

sorry to follow, but this is even more ridiculous: Nevada woman's tennis is 100% foreign! Slovakia, Russia, France all very well represented. the state of Nevada zero. who recruits these woman and why- just to get a trip to Europe? Implausible, as the best teams (UCLA) have mostly US athletes. and by the way. they are not that good.
