The Aggie women are currently unbeaten at 7-0 and are ranked #8 in the most recent collegeinside.com mid-major poll which is their highest ranking ever. The Ags will try to keep their unbeaten record alive when they tangle with San Francisco (3-4) in the first game of a double-header at 5 pm in the Pavilion on Wednesday evening. The men will take on Pacific (5-4) in the second game scheduled to start at 7:30 pm.

San Francisco is coming off a 87-81 victory over San Jose State and would like nothing better than to upset the streaking Aggies. So far this year the Dons have also beaten Robert Morris 57-45, split with Cal Poly winning the first game 83-81 and losing the second 88-83 and have lost to Northern Colorado 73-60, Stanford 86-66 and Washington State 74-70. The Aggies opened the year with a 91-76 victory over WSU by comparison.

The Dons will bring a balanced offensive attack with 4 players averaging double figures: 6'3 Sr F from Slovakia 12.6 ppg, 5'6 Jr G Shannon Powell 12.1 ppg, 5'9 Sr G from Copenhagen, Denmark, Anna Seilund 12.0 ppg and 5'9 Sr G Kalyn Simon at 10.9 ppg. As a team they are averaging 72.3 ppg to their opponents 74.0 while shooting 45% from the floor to their opponent's 46%.

One weakness that San Francisco has displayed so far this year is that they have turned the ball over 122 times for an overage of 17.4 TO's per game. The Aggies, for the most part, have played solid defense this year and they may be able to take advantage of the Don's tendency to turn the ball over.

The Aggies continue to be led in scoring by their talented post player, Morgan Bertsch, who is averaging 23.1 ppg followed by Rachel Nagel at 15.6 and Pele Gianotti at 10.4. The Ags are averaging 81.7 ppg to their opponents 64.1 for an average winning margin of 17.6 ppg. As a team, the Aggies average nearly 21 assists per game which is an amazing stat and shows just how unselfish and mature this team is. One area the Ags want to improve in is the number of TO's per game they are committing; 15 TO's per game is too high for a team with this much talent. Taking better care of the ball will be paramount against some of the better teams the Aggies will soon face like St Mary's and Oregon State.
