It seems like some of the Sac faithful are not at all happy with the "Go-Go" that is now on the Hornet helmets. They feel like Marion is excessively promoting himself and his "Go Go" brand. The new helmets now feature SAC on one side, Go-Go on the other side and 916 on the front of the helmet.

it seems like the Hornet faithful went from worrying that Marion would leave, to worrying that he will have to stay!

Sac fans are frustrated to say the least. This is a post from a new topic on their forum titled "Boycott the Go-G0 Football Team:"

Only message we can send is to stay away and stop watching. Marion is about himself and his brand. Not the kids or the University.

I’m done going to games the rest of the year. And I’m done watching or paying attention.

The message we need to send is clear, we are Sacramento State Hornets fans. Not Go Go Sacramento fan

There are multiple people in the athletic department who do not support or approve of Marion promoting his personal brand over the university's but when they express their objections Marion just tells them to Go Go see Dr. Wood because he signed off on it.

Great motto, one great year can change your life.

In practice, 71 guys came here with intent on getting their one great year regardless. Now ask everyone to be selfless and be a team. I came to get a bag not help the guy next to me. Message and mission are dislocated and most likely one of the greatest issues.

Unfortunately, it seems that both the Sac State president AND the head coach are each here mostly to get their own bag: Take care of yourself, not the university you're supposedly responsible for (Wood), nor the team you're supposed to lead (Marion).

Who could've guessed? Oh, right, everyone.

They don't seem to respect Cal Poly much on that board.

One indicated that Marion Brennan may have walked off the field without shaking hands with the Cal Poly coach.

Another comment was related to Sac's helmets having Brennan's own personal brand instead of the traditional hornet logo.

Finally, there was a comment, with picture of Brennan walking into the stadium with his "entourage."

Hey everybody- Looking forward to next weekend. Always a fun game playing the Aggies - especially at home. Wish the rivalry would have been more even recently, but what can you do.

Hoping for a good turnout of Davis fans. I have some fun stuff to do in SLO County if anyone wants some suggestions - best places to get food other things to do etc.

Cal Poly always has some pretty classy fans. Of course it doesn't hurt that two of ny cousins went there but they don't follow sports much.
