A win here would secure the 6 seed for the Ags. Hawai`i is usually very tough at home, but this season they are 4-5 in the Big West in the Stan Sheriff Center. After winning three Big West games in a row, including two consecutive road games, they seemed to fall apart in which their only close loss was at Davis. A story in the Honolulu paper about Hawai`i’s blow out loss to UCSD stated that Coach Ganot bemoaned the fact that his team just gave up. Their effort against UCR, however, showed that they aren't giving up just yet and they remember how close they came to putting their match at Davis into overtime. Plus it is “Senior” Night (Senior is in brackets, because only one of their five seniors have played more than one season in the islands) so there will be lots of fans there cheering for the Warriors.
