UC Riverside comes to Davis to take on the Aggies midway through a conference race that no one wants to take command of. Despite a 2-game slide, UCD sits just a single game out of 1st place. To turn things around, the Aggies need to rediscover a 3-PT shooting touch that has gone south, and get back to a level of assists per game more typical of a Jen Gross team. Meanwhile, the Highlanders have shown themselves capable of beating anyone in the conference, having topped co-leader UC Irvine at home during the first week of January, and losing only by 3 a week ago at Irvine.

Junior guard Shelley Duchemin leads the Highlanders in scoring (11.2 ppg.) and adds 4.7 rpg, second on the team. Makayla Ross contributes 8.2 ppg, while Hannah Wickstrom leads the Gauchos in rebounding at 7.3 rpg.

Aggies grind out a win 52-41. Held the Highlanders to 14 points after halftime.

Norris with a tidy double-double and three blocks. Burns also with a pts/reb double-double, which is neat for a guard.

3-pt shooting still abysmal, but FTs were respectable again (11-13).

We were too tired to go last night. Returned from a week at Disney World - so many 20,000+ step days tracking kids/grandkids! I'm too old for this! And the crowds...
