I notice that Sac State is 21 while EWU is 28. They have the same record and a similar strength of schedule, but one would think that the Golden Eagles win would put them ahead of Sac State.

Hard to evaluate players in the 4th quarter because the Cal Poly defense was probably demoralized and just wanted to get the game over, plus I'd guess that many of them were second stringers. There should be a bit of concern over the pass defense as the Poly QBs got some pretty long plays completed and there were no sacks until the end of the game.

The Honolulu newspaper reports that the University of Hawai`i is seeking a bid to play all of its sports in the Mountain West, meaning they would exit the Big West in basketball, baseball, etc. Currently Hawai`i is in the MWC in football only. The Conference has not extended an invitation yet, but it makes sense given the loss of so many of their present schools.

I wonder how many of those who vote in theses polls looked at more than the score? On the other hand, I notice that computer based ratings, e.g. Sagarin, still have UCD below about 14 other FCS schools.
