Anyone know what happened to Neufeld?

BigWest TV has a game time of 6:30 but ESPN says 7:00. Do you know which one is right?
  • Rematch at Fullerton
Seems like the Aggies gave up a lot of points in the paint as well. What were the stats on the Titans PIP?
  • Rematch at Fullerton
Fuller, having a great game, had a spectacular reverse kay-up with about 4 minutes to go.
  • Rematch at Fullerton
Printup and Gonzalez combined for 6 of 7 from 3.

    ↪DrMike
DrMike, It seems to me that Ezra Manjon is a slasher, but when he gets inside, he rarely passes the ball out. I noticed the same tendency with TJ Shorts. Having never been a point guard myself, I can only imagine that one of the more difficult assists to make is that pass to the perimeter. Still, it would be great if he could do it. The turnover risk is high, though, so maybe Coach Les discourages it?
  • Rematch vs. Irvine
I didn't get to see the whole game. What happened to Mooney?
  • Rematch vs. Irvine
At lest the Aggies hung in there and did better than they did in the Pavilion.
  • Rematch vs. Irvine
Ags cut the lead to 13 with less than 9 minutes to go.

I missed this one. Too much going on today. Based on the box score, it looks like after the UCI debacle, Coach Les put Mooney and Neufeld on the bench to start the game. I guess they both did pretty poorly on Thursday. Nice to see Printup starting. How did he look?

The big man who did the most damage was Collin Welp (whose father, Christian, I saw play at the U. of Washington and went to the NBA), bu the starting big men, did not score inside so much as they hit the boards. I wonder why Welp doesn't start. He lead UCI in rebounds and was second in scoring.

Yes, Neufeld was pretty much a non-factor in Hawaii.
  • MBB: UC Irvine (12-9, 4-1) at UCD (8-13, 2-3) 7 pm Thursday, January 30th
UCI up 43-27 at the half. Anteaters hitting shots at a 61% rate. This does not look good at all.
  • MBB: UCD (8-12) at Hawaii (12-6), Saturday, Jan. 25 at 9 p.m. PST
I should note that my son and law and I both agreed that the officiating was terrible. They made a lot of phantom calls. At least they were equally bad to both teams, so I don't think they affected the outcome. The crowd did. I am fairly sure that the Aggies were rattled in the closing minutes. THey're not used to having almost 5000 people rooting against them. It could have been worse, since the arena holds 10,000. The game made the front page of both the sports and main section of the paper. Hawaii, lacking a pro team of any kind, sees the University of Hawaii as their main sports team. The game is also broadcast live on local television which explains why the arena was only half full, thank goodness.

I have never heard the Hawaii arena as loud as tonight. The crowd was really fired up because of a 100 year celebration of the basketball team. I really thought Hawaii was going to win by double digits so I was more than glad when the Ags went up by 7. It was an amazing performance by Gonzalez but a disappointing one for Mooney, who was closely guarded by Eddie Stansberry all night. Hawaii's Drew Buggs also had a sensational night playing 40 minutes with 11 assists to one turnover. Credit to Ezra, too, who almost took over the game in the second half. It was a very deflating loss to bein the middle of all those Hawaii fans when Hawaii pulled it out at almost the very end. Credit to Hawaii, though, who was missing two starters. I hope the Aggies can beat them in Davis.

I'll do my best to AGitate the arena.
  • MBB: CSU Fullerton (6-13, 1-3) at UCD (8-11, 2-1) 7 pm Wednesday, January 22nd
Gotta like the way the Aggies scrapped til the end, but too little, too late. Fullerton is the team that beat UCLA earlier this year, so they have a lot of talent when they want to play.
  • MBB: CSU Fullerton (6-13, 1-3) at UCD (8-11, 2-1) 7 pm Wednesday, January 22nd
Ags now down only one, but they'll have to play a lot better than this in Hawaii or they'll be run out of the arena. Notice that they've only shot 2 free throws the whole game.
  • MBB: CSU Fullerton (6-13, 1-3) at UCD (8-11, 2-1) 7 pm Wednesday, January 22nd
Texas is a land of Titans.
  • MBB: CSU Fullerton (6-13, 1-3) at UCD (8-11, 2-1) 7 pm Wednesday, January 22nd
Yes, 3/15 but I thought the Titans were hotter, yet they were only 4/13 according to ESPN. That doesn't seem right, but it adds up. I hope the Ags shoot better in the 2nd half and commit fewer dumb turnovers.
