I keep imagining how different this game would be if we had a healthy Larison or Tompkins.

Do you think that they're protecting Tompkins from getting hit too often? He's only had one touch and that was a pass. In any case, it's pretty sure that he won't be much of a factor in this game.

I thought I heard that the broadcast is being sponsored by the University of Montana? Seems vaguely unethical somehow. How does ESPN+ justify letting any school sponsor an away game? The bias of the two broadcasters is pretty clear although the color man really knows football and seems to be the more objective (but hard to listen to for his vocal quality). Marty Mornhinweg has NFL bona fides. I remember when he was the offensive coordinator for the 49ers. Not sure why he's no longer coaching.

Montana is 3/3 on 3rd and long and 4/4 on passes. Ags have 6 total yards. It isn't going well, to say the least.

ESPN lists the temperature in Davis at 94 F. and UCD as 7.5 point underdog. No surprises there.

Good point about not making too much of this win, Movielover. Looking at Cal Poly's future schedule I can't see them winning more than one more game. Finish at or near the bottom of the Big Sky along with Northern Colorado, whom they can beat at home.

The color guy is John Kane and he seems to like the sound of his voice. He's not only homer, but he likes to point out the obvious. He claims that every other incomplete Cal Poly pass is due to pass interference.

Maybe so, but I would think he would get at least one or two carries.
