Play by play guy is showing his true colors. He might be trying to be fair, but he's speaking to the Anteaters.

Game seems to be slipping away after that 8 point lead in the first half disappeared. Ags shooting has cooled and UCI is getting and making a ridiculous number of free throws.

I see that ESPN's odds of anAgs victory has increased from 9.8% to 12.3% after beating UCR. :)

Not sure how the NCAA handles the timing of this sort of thing, but we'll probably never know. TY's privacy is, and should be, protected.

Pure speculation on my part, but maybe TY is out due to some academic issues regarding his eligibility? Just saying that due to the timing after fall quarter grades.

Wow, I see that the Gauchos lost to UCSD and have slipped to 0-3. I wonder what's wrong with them?

Ags are blistering the twine at a 64.3% rate. Couldn't ask for a better offensive performance. On the Highlanders side, it can't get much worse at 21.9%. Given regression to the mean, this margin won't hold, so the game is not in the bag, but I like the way the Ags playing defense. As long as they can keep hitting their shots at a moderate rate, I like their chances.

Anyone know why TY isn't playing? The commentators said he wasn't starting, but gave no reason, only that he's "unavailable."

No to Bossie Cow-Cow? Thanks. Yes, this is TY's second game where he has held the other teams best player to a lower scoring performance.

A solid offensive performance shooting 50% from the arc, about that well overall and 92.9% from the foul line. Plus good balance, Pepper getting his, but 7 other Aggies scoring .

With about 8 minutes left, TY has yet to score a field goal, but he does have 4 assists and 3 steals. Like all solid players, he doesn't need to score to contribute.

During one of the commercial breaks yesterday, they showed footage of the Varsity Theater in downtown Davis. I'd forgotten about that place. Man, it sure brought back a lot of fond memories.

Taking nothing away from the Aggies effort, it did seem like the Gauchos were out of synch a lot: making bad passes, not going to the boards very aggressively at either end and going 15 for 23 from the charity stripe. I suspect they'll be very pumped up when we go down to Santa Barbara on Feb. 1.
