• ESPN Failure
Yes, I do know that networks often need to allow a game to be finished before they switch to a subsequent game. I'm old enough to remember the famous "Heidi" incident when NBC cut from the end of a Jets-Raiders game in which Oakland came back to win and no one got to see it because a Shirley Temple movie was scheduled. Ever since then, networks do not switch from the end of one game to the start of another on the same channel. However, on a "regular" (i.e non-streaming) channel of ESPN, they will often alert the expectant viewers of a later game to a different ESPN channel if the earlier game is running over. I do not know how many channels ESPN+ has, but I am sure they could have switched it if they card enough, but as NCagalum has written, they don't. I am not even sure why they moved the Aggie's to ESPN3. Anyone know?
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
The Bobcat commentator keeps saying Ulonzo "Gillam," but he thinks that UCD still has shot at the playoffs, so I can't hold it against him. Wish I could have seen more of the game, but unlike with ESPN+, I can't replay any of this game. Seems like the Ags had a decent game given they were on the road against probably the best FCS team they will face.

The MSU QB has been responsible for 430 yards!?
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
Back in time to see this latest drive and the injury to Pettek. I hope we can score A TD here to at least make it respectable.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
    I should just shut up.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
MSU has 14 yards passing and 110 rushing. So much for a balanced offense.

Finally got on just in time to watch for about 10 minutes. At least the Ags are ahead. Go Ags!
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
Tulsa game is over. Stand by.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
I would have thought that an outfit as big as they are would be able to offer enough channels that this kind of thing would not happen, I suspect, MSU is in the same "region" for their telecasts as Tulsa. But still, inexcusable. I just hope I can see the whole game from the start once it is on.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
Looking like the Ags can't stop MSU's run game.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
Looks like the Aggies are moving the ball now. Too bad I can't see it.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
If the Tulsa-Cincinnati game is what's holding up the Ags broadcast, that game has over 6 minutes left to go.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
    This is more than annoying.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
Looks like the kickoff has not happened yet, based on the ESPN Gamecast.
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
It does appear that the game is on ESPN+
  • Week 5: UC Davis @ Montana State
I'll be able to watch the game as I have ESPN+, but I have to step out an hour into the broadcast, so I won't be able to see the end of the game live. If it's a blow out for the Bobcats, I might not check back into the broadcast until after I see what you guys are saying about how the game is progressing. This is an unexpected benefit of this chat group. I can monitor the game as your posts unfold. I hope I see a lot "Ags storming back" or something along those lines.
  • Week 4: Weber State @ UC Davis
I hate to note this, but the Aggies "won" in every major statistical category: time of possession, total yards, turnovers, penalties, third down efficiency... except field goal percentage. This adds strength to the addage that the only stat that counts is points scored.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Can't say we didn't have a chance--or lots of chances, but as I wrote earlier, I expected to be disappointed. We can blame either Hawkins the elder or Hawkins the younger, but the offense failed to execute when it needed to. Hastings was off on a lot of his third down throws, but some credit goes to the Wildcat defense.
  • Week 4: Weber State @ UC Davis
This is one of those games I've seen too often: A lot of frustrating moments and missed opportunities. In my experience this kind of game ends badly. Hope this time is an exception.

If Hastings hadn't overthrown Gilliam on the previous drive, the score would be 20-17 Aggies, but there's lot of time left. D has to step up again.
