• Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
AggieFinn I think you are very wrong (I hope so at least). We have a strong passing game which the Bison will be most worried about. We are much faster and more mobile. Can we run the ball is he big question. We never did back in the day with NDSU. Yes this is a biggie. We are probably a 20+ underdog, but that is great. This is what the big time, anything can happen on a Saturday, is all about! I think this will be a high scoring game. Ags by 3.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
Brawn versus speed. A very interesting test for the Ags.
  • USC AD Lynn Swann resigns
If USC offered I think Dr. Blue would get a six figure plus plus raise and many new benies. Ms. Blue would not have to worry about work. But, that said, USC too stupid and proud to deign to hire an AD from UC Davis. So no worries IMHO.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
We do not even need a new band. We can hire this band. You all should watch this youtube video of young Germans who belong to “discipline marching bands” or like “Fanfarenzug Dresden e.V., -2016 Marschwertung Harmont. Some say inspired by GI occupation troops bands after WW2. Look at their band leader- no one messing with her IMHO. Probably very little hazing as well.
  • Week 2: UC Davis @ San Diego
I agree. I would not like to be with the team traveling home. D needs a lot of work. That said, USD was really cranked up for this game. A 4 year home win streak like they had is an amazing motivating force and it showed. They did not give up. Ags were a bit on the shall we say over confident or sloppy side of things. I find it kind of reminiscent when the USD announcers/media talk about the Ags being “a scholarship program” and USD is therefore the underdog. Boy, did Sochor ever use that pony trick to our advantage in our DII days to motivate his teams. It works!
  • Week 2: UC Davis @ San Diego
I love the line in the SD Union article regarding the USD defensive play against Poly: “Except for that issue with the iceberg, the trip on the Titanic was a nice boat ride.” The guy can write a very good and entertaining sports story. Rare talent these days.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Just another observation, but if this CAMB situation was so bad for so long, why did the administration (Emily Galindo?) not see all or much of this “bad conduct” a long time ago? The only possible defense for this is that there were never any formal co plaintiffs, much less lawsuits, against the CAMB so the administration had no notice if the “bad conduct.” This is exactly why this so-called investigation is so flawed. It is based for the most part on subjective evidence (“I was upset”) and outright hearsay. None of the interviews were under oath, so some kids could say anything they wanted. Remember 85% of all CAMB members felt their band experiences were “positive”!
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Is this investigative law firm actually independent? As a long time attorney and King SOL Grad I never knew that there was such a thing as a boutique law and “investigative practice” firm that specialized in T9 stuff, much less in sacramento which is not exactly a bee hive of T9 issues (maybe USC?). So, now we have this law firm that specializes in T9 lawsuits and related issues doing this “investigation” by the leading partner of this law firm who was a former university counsel at UCD with many ties to the administration. I would challenge this choice of an investigative firm for a non-biased investigation.. i would ask: is this a “decision done by UCD- now go figure out how we can sanctify/justify this decision”? One question more: “who retained this law Firm”? If it was Galindo, she should start packing her bags. This will not get better for her.
  • Mahalia White returns
And they cruised by montana today 3-0. Mahalia was outstanding and led all teams in kills!
  • Aggies vs Bears
Like so many others, mine is a mixed marriage. Me Davis; she Berkeley. She says she never went to a football game while she was at Berkeley, but she did date some Cal athletes and will sometimes needle me about the one that became very big in tech and is now a well known bazillionaire. But when we lived in the Sac area she would graciously attend UC Davis games with me and was a stout fan of the Aggies. She says she really doesn’t care who wins this game, but I think she secretly would enjoy an Aggie win. No disrespect for Cal; It’s the underdog thing I think. Both Davis and Berkeley are first class universities with first class football teams. No one will deny that.
  • Is it odd that the WBB roster is still not out?
Any thoughts on red shirts. Lily is my big concern.
  • Aggies vs Bears
A 20 point underdog? Why even show up?
  • Aggies vs Bears
No Blue and Gold game this year? Or did I just miss something?
  • Aggie Football Fan Fest 2019 TOMORROW
    Bee coverage: zero

Nice to have such “hometown support”. P.s. UC Davis spends millions more in sac than in davis. And it is US Davis Health that does that.
  • Aggies vs Bears
I think someone already posted on this but alcohol will be served at all cal games starting 2019. But this is new: all entering the stadium will have to go thru metal detectors! I have no idea if this is the new normal as I have not been to college or nfl game in years. After some thought maybe I would feel a bit more comfortable enduring that for safeties sake. I wish sac would impose that rule. Actually, sac should make anyone going into the parking lot go thru a detector as their lots are downright more dangerous than their stadium.
  • Looking Forward to 2019
I still think that Ron Austin was the best Aggie Running back in UC Davis history. He was awesome and a very great guy.
  • Aggies vs Bears
NfehT, you are very correct. The bears are bigger, faster and more athletic than the Aggies. You missed the scholarships. Bears have a dozen more and are a PAC 12 team. So are we taking about a 40+ game? A 50+ game. Maybe more. Will this be like men playing with boys? I love the player Siu. Great personal history. I have been to Kadena a lot of times.. It has a very large Marine Base in Okinawa. It’s a very tense place to be in as the locals and Japan want us out! Okinawans are the longest living humans on the planet; so eat more fish! Go Ags.
  • Looking Forward to 2019
Redshirted his first year. Did not play last season. So how many years eligibility does he have? I would guess: three?
  • Aggies vs Bears
OK movie, I will hold and raise you the bears Siulagisibai Fuismano, 6’4” 320. From Kadena Japan. The Aggies will be dealing with a very, very LARGE team with the bears. But- can the big bears actually move very fast? That is the big question.
  • Aggies vs Bears
I must agree with movie on this. Let’s just tone it down a bit. Go into the game very respectful and thankful for the opportunity to play the great bears.. . . . And then leave all our efforts on the field. I do think the Aggies will makes us all very proud no matter what.
