• Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
They obviously used the bye week to prepare 100% for this game. I think it is their playoff game.
  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
Ags need to play with more effort. There was a palpable difference in effort between the teams in the first half
  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
Well I thought the Ags ran a bit too much in first half. Tunnel screens have not worked. I think they need to go downfield more often. Can’t panic, but need a score coming out of locker room in second half. Montana has stole the intensity- need to change momentum.

Definite the 12 th man advantage with crowd noise creating false starts.
  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
Montana is always a different team at home. Part of there playoff strategy is to not play fbs teams and instead play down and they always have more home games than away games. Last time they played fbs team was Tennessee. That was quit a few years ago.

right. You have to make those catches. The ball was there. But there should have been a flag on the Montana player too.
  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
The Ags need to step up the intensity. They need to want it more. Right now they are not playing.
  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
What’s with the refs. Have they been paid off? Montana plays dirty, but then again they always have.

GO AGGIES BEAT THE TEDDY BEARS

Inspired by the Wyoming fan in the stands in Fort Collins at the border war game with Colorado State who wore a shirt with “Beat sheep” on it. (CSU are the Rams). Sort of a linguistic emasculation of your opponent.

I actually agree pretty much with Davis Aggie. If anyone has the watchespn app, the ISU Liberty game is Very entertaining. ISU put up 650 yards of offense but lost by 7. I then watched SDSU vs No. Iowa. SDSU was without Wallace, their leading rusher and looked horribly flat as No. Iowa won. OK, I have no life.
  • Help Needed to Give the Great ISU Win a Commerative Name
love it. Like one of those big compound German words
  • UC Davis Ranked #6 in STATS FCS Poll
the coaches poll is a joke. Besides the Ags being ranked too low, North Dakota should be higher and Idaho State could beat most of the ranked schools. It seems much of the ranking is based on memory from last year. As long as the coaches don’t vote in the playoff seedings and this poll does not influence that - I don’t really care. As many have said - polls are too easy to get hung up on.

Does anyone know the criteria or process of forming the playoff selection committee?

I am envious! Have a great time. This is one place I’d like to see a game. Might have joined you except I am playing Brass this weekend at Reformation Services.

I truly believe that the Ags are the better team, and clearly so this year. The Ags have mote team speed and more weapons. Snead can be rattled so pressure and containment on him will be critical as well as ball security. The one thing I am a bit worried about is the erratic punting game - and of course it is a difficult environment.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
ya.... and I note that their 3 point victory over northern iowa was not subject to the same logic.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
Dropped like $30 on verizon overages watching from a campground in VA. Worth it though. Didn’t see first quarter but what struck me:

    1. Cal poly played very conservatively but that is playing their strength (fullback Prothro). Aggie defensive scheme was spot on with personnel and alignment.
    2. For the first time in a while the talent Chasm was quite large. UCD obviously had way more talent than Poly. It was like watching 2 levels of football. Run or pass was pick your poison for Poly. Yes the stats weren't That different but that was because of short fields etc. Never have been under less stress watching a game -and knowing there was virtually no way Ags would not win.

    3. “Almost” felt sorry for Poly. Was weird seeing the 2 bands in the field together. When I was in band-uh they would not let us on field so we didn’t travel to their house - yet we didn’t reciprocate and they were in field at Toomey.

Yes, the Ags May lose in the coming weeks but if they pant anywhere near their potential they easily could run the table. Of course with 19 year olds and college football anything could happen. They are SO FUN to watch.
  • Week 8: Big Sky
I am seriously thinking about going to Fargo next year. Could wend across the Midwest with wife and travel trailer and tailgate in Fargo.
  • Aggie Stadium
I guess they couldn’t take that to North Dakota.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
wow. That’s sounds a bit like Herm Edwards “you play to win the game”. Maybe they share 1/1024 in their blood line.
