yah, a couple of personal fouls on Christion.
  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
Bad decision. But close to personal foul if you hit the QB after his slide, correct ?

Steiglemier signs 5 year contract extension.
  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
Notice how the defenses get better and better as playoffs progress. Real physical football.
  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
Bizzzzzon have Oregon in their schedule for 2020.
  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
well they beat Minnesota, Kansas State, and I think Iowa State in their last FBS games. They have not scheduled FBS schools the past 2 or 3 years although it might be difficult getting an FBS school willing to play them.
  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
Nice response by Jacks. Carving up a lot of yards on the ground.
  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
If Christion is out - game is over.
  • 2018 FCS SEMIFINALS
Lot of room to run for Stick. Jacks need to respond.
  • Turning down the playoffs for an FCS bowl game...
Just had a Dr. Appt. with my surgeon who do my rotator cuff surgery 2 years ago. He played football for Princeton. I mentioned Princeton’s great season 10-0 with a lot of blow-outs. I also brought up the fact that the Ivys don’t participate in the playoff. He said it would have been interesting to see how they would have done. He said the QB they will have next year accepted an offer at Bama, then decided to go to Princeton. I said “different culture” and “ at least he won’t have Nick Sabin screaming at him. “. Surgeon is not big and when I first met him and brought up that he played collegiate football he responded “yah, but it was Princeton”.

the los Lomas guy is a tight end.

On another note Gary Anderson is returning to Utah State (via Utah, via Oregon State, via Wisconsin). There was chatter that Weber State’s Jay Hill might be in the running. Looks like he’s staying put.
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: UC Davis @ Eastern Washington v2.0
In my opinion Moe and Baumgart the biggest impact players, although all good. The simple answer is that one has to and replacements happen every year and certain folks emerge. I do think focusing on D line personnel in recruiting and development is maybe the most important area. I think the overall stable of linebackers is good. But what do I know? I’m just a shade tree wanna be coach.

yah, and my bigger point was that this was not an “ifs and buts” category but a real definite occurrence.

Well I am thinking about flying out for Kal and thinking about enticing the wife to take a travel trailer troad trip with one of the destinations being Fargo. If so, we’ll make sure the trailer is stocked with food and drink and invite all ASTers over for drinks/grub at a tailgate. Looking forward to next year.

Friday night is the game. I will be pulling for SDSU ( I won’t tell the alums from NDSU I know that -although believe it or not they don’t care). One is that I like the SDSU coach more - I think he is classier, and the other reason is that I do not think it is good for FCS to have a continual champion.

    Go Jacks.
  • FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals: UC Davis @ Eastern Washington v2.0
yah, maybe established/ achieved is a bit strong word, but I thing the Age are where they should be and with the talented youth they have and Maier back, I don’t see them slipping next year nor in the near future. I do think they achieved it for this year (I guess that is what I meant by “current”) at least and lived up to the hype. Nearly all their games were won easily (Idaho State had some luck which is needed for any great season) so tossing out Stanford and the “not showing up game”at EWU they either fairly clearly won or could have one (this last) every game.

Of course continuing to do it on the field will be the proof.
  • 2018 QUARTERFINALS
Agreed. SDSU has beaten NDSU in 2 of last 3 years and were leading in 4th quarter this year. EWU and NDSU have had the luxury of all home games during playoffs, but if you earn it, that’s just the deal. Those two venues are just tough.

I have always felt Kennesaw State was over-ranked overseeded this year, for one due to SOS. The Big South is weak.

Weber-Maine game exposes the weakness of Weber, I.e., offense. Negative yards rushing? Don’t deserve to win a game with that. Their QB is not an accurate passer, so had no alternative to score. In my mind, they were never the team they had last year due to the graduation of Cantrell.

In my mind UND, SDSU, EWU, and UCD the best teams this year. The Maine-EWU game will be interesting. Maine QB not as good as Maier and they don’t have a Doss but their D is stifling and that will always keep you in the game.
