The two ahead of him aren’t 6’3. This team had some major flaws. They exceeded expectations.

Probably should have pinned this at top of the board months ago!

Bains should wind up at a P4 also but may be too slight to get a real bag from an upper tier program.
  • QB1 in 2025

Lan covering kicks in September games up by 30 wasn’t great. And Fisher definitely should have taken many of Perez’ reps.
  • Sac State's bid for the Pac 12 Thread

He’s a good OC. Surprising he couldn’t find a better gig this cycle. With that history of making empty promises he’ll fit right in at csus.
  • QB1 in 2025

Still just learning the position. Left Sierra Canyon because Becker (Utah) won the job.

A sucker is born every minute. Many end up here (although most are well intentioned).
  • QB1 in 2025

Randy was a rs freshman that first start at Cal. Denham really stiffed Biggs on that one.

Year end interviews start tomorrow if I remember correctly. Expect a few guys to move on and those spots are going to be needed.
  • Aggie Stadium

    So are Cal’s facilities.
  • Stadium Renovation hopes, fears, expectations

Are you kidding? $C buying out of that game is one of the best things to happen to Aggie football in years. Double dipping on revenue was really helpful. Also, people complaining about espn+ need to take a look at MW Network distribution.
  • Stadium Renovation hopes, fears, expectations

Mountain West tv distributions will be in the $3m range next year. For Davis to be competitive with the lower end of MWC, football will need an increase of at least $5m per year to the operating budget. 10 to be middle of the pack. Basketball will need a bunch. Then they need to find 50 or so for just bare minimum on facilities.

So there you have it. The return is 3ish million per on an annual investment of 20+.
  • Stadium Renovation hopes, fears, expectations

Your post from many years ago is the best subject matter on this topic. There are only 9k fixed seats. Average attendance this year was nothing close to 10k. Expanding the stadium to provide seats for people that don’t pay for tickets makes zero sense. The university made some major blunders with development and construction management and the things they did get right have not been properly maintained.

  • Attendance

These are so easy and 2-5 were regularly part of the program decades ago when they truly had no money and limited staff. Moving the stadium did impact the connection with the town. Out of sight out of mind.
  • Attendance

This is par for the course. Plough’s frustration is not simply the attendance on Saturday, but that’s what boiled over. His issue is lackluster attendance AND the smallest donor base in the conference AND the least amount of season tickets sold in the conference outside of Portland State. These are issues that have existed for decades and with a few rare exceptions (Aggie Pack in early 90s) the administration has done little to nothing to promote a connection between FB/BB and the campus community or the local community.
  • POST GAME THREAD: AGS 42 ILLINOIS STATE 10

I think this goes to show that real attendance is quite a bit less than the athletic department’s weekly guesstimate. Nice crowd for hoops last night.
  • POST GAME THREAD: AGS 42 ILLINOIS STATE 10
Davis and Mercer were the only two playoff games without an AP writer on site today, which explains the lack of live stats or game summary on espn. This gets to the same theme which is the university doesn’t try very hard at the basics, despite the fact that Davis’ athletic admin payroll is massive.

That’s exactly right. The camera angle was terrible so once they called a first down it was difficult to overturn despite being pretty obviously short.
