@GoldenBearz thanks - that explains it. Seems like most of the Davis people who post on this board, including @movielover, are reasonable people who are enthusiastic about where we’re going. I can’t imagine anything nefarious from him or any of the other regulars here. We get a little geeked up when we get a chance to play a team from the PAC, and it’s even better when it’s within the UC system.

@DrMike you are certainly the smartest man on this board, but I have to disagree with you. I love the lemon/comet tail CA logo. It's unique (ish) and has a real legacy on campus. The two-font logo screams bush league.

Cal and UCLA are classic, but we don’t want to mimic. Santa Barbara’s is pretty good also. If by “blocky invader” you mean the slanty font on the football jerseys, then yes, I like that and prefer to the dopey two-font logo. This ain’t intramurals.

I like the sound of wishbone C. And of course it's not unique to us, but look at the "G" on Green Bay, Georgia and Grambling helmets. i think each of those are iconic.

sorry @GoAggies I think you're outnumbered on this forum. I also love the retro style lemon CA logo. And I absolutely HATE the bush-league wanna-be Denver Broncos version of logos they came up with in the early 2000s. Those can go right into the bin.

Blue is definitely a flight risk. But shepherding a program from FCS to FBS may be interesting to him.

@drmike is correct; PAC12 is not in the 5-10 year window. But MWC definitely is because I see future pressure on SJSU to drop out or drop down. That's our spot (sorry for my dead horse issue). That's the only way we get major sac area support - not playing Big Sky, but regional rivalries with Fresno, Reno, San Diego State, Boise, etc.
