Berkeley is/was "student run," IMO. Much stronger faculty/admin presence than the Aggie Band ever had, but a student-led leadership council. I don't know how they choose their student leaders.
Initial lists are due tomorrow afternoon, I think. I say "initial," because there's a bunch of additional shuffling that happens as everybody looks at the waiver wire.
My WAG: the frosh guards and Jones will play and Kenedy will red-shirt. Svanholm's gotta sit a year because of the transfer, obviously. I think the staff will want to get a feel for the new ball-handlers and shooters ASAP and bring Kenedy along slowly.
I think they've been smart in piggy-backing on big-name teams coming out to play Stanford (or Cal). Works out nicely for everyone--extra west coast game for [insert team] and a nice OOC schedule for Davis.
Legislative Affairs Office had a paper about potential UC and CSU expansion a year or so ago that estimated "modest" increases (5-10%? IIRC) in enrollment through 2024/25 for the UC system as a whole.
