Yeah. Cal-Davis on the banner didn't go over well with a lot of alums.

How about the unstated politics ... highly unlikely a liberal paper in a liberal capitol will go after our first African American Chancellor. Trend with our last three leaders?

LK and her team put up some record fundraising numbers I think raising over $1 Billion and reaching the stated goal a year early.
  • MBB: Long Beach State (13-17 & 6-8) @ the Aggies (17-11 & 9-4) ESPN Game
    Huge win!

Tourney will be interesting, but then we lose 3 studs? Enjoy it now.
  • MBB: CSUN @ The Aggies (2/23)
Zandy, I think Irvine may have had a few players out at least once when we beat them. I'm not sure your math works on if we played Louisville (I thought it was SMU)... Mamadou and his fellow Big's were formidable... You can see the massive smiles at the post-game interview when the opponents were asked about his impact...Maybe SMU was the year prior.
  • MBB: CSUN @ The Aggies (2/23)
Bob Dunning in the DE yesterday suggested that the team that wins the league should host the tournament. I like the idea.
  • ESPNU Returns to The Pavilion on 2/25 v. LBSU
Rec Hall is also a Rec facility, so that is a big consideration.

I preferred the original upper tier bleachers that pulled towards the court when closed. It created a wall that made the crowds of 2000 or 2500 seem bigger.

The large gaps in the upper tiers now are a disaster. I can't recall one other facility with such a poor use of space. Someone didn't fight hard enough.

All of these things cost money. Bringing the lower seats closer to the court, and filling in the lower unused corners might yield the best bang for the buck Give the donors a winning team. With racquetball disappearing, that is a lot of unused space.

Probably students, I.e. the body that runs Rec Hall. Campus Rec?
  • Coach Gould
FootballScoop, and several SoCal websites say that Gould is a candidate to be the RB coach for the Trojans.

A shot in a dark Central Valley night... With fog.
  • 2017 Recruiting
Yes, but I bet their list of commits wasn't even updated or accurate.

One group rated Austin Peay #1 two years in a row, even though they have only won 1 game in 4 years?

    Not very thorough.
  • 2017 Recruiting
Maybe it was a combo of partials, greyshirts, and early commits that counted against last year. But then I don't get Gould not using all his slots last yearly, unless he was surprised by some early departures.
  • 2017 Recruiting
Correct me if I am wrong, but it also looked like we upped our in-state recruiting.

Toe, what grade / observations do you give our recruiting class?
  • MBB: Aggies (13-9 & 5-2) @ UC Santa Barbara (3-17 & 1-7)
Why didn't he foul the ball handler on the dribble?

We struggled to beat a team that didn't have it's 4 best players available?
  • NLI Signing Day 2017
Didn't't he also play TE in HS? ... I only mentioned a few of the possible breakout players off hand. CJ, Kelley, several WRs, several long DBs that will give us size... 6'"2, 6'3"...
  • NLI Signing Day 2017
There will be a lot of youth ... bringing in those 4-5 JC players may be key, if 2 or 3 or fill needs, that would be Uuuge.

Can anyone here enlighten us as to what players do here in the summer per unsupervised practices? I know places like UCLA and USC hold 7 on 7 or full squads. First time I heard of off season practices recently was last summer, but I'm out of the loop.... Maybe we've always done it.... If we are introducing new schemes, repetition will be key.
  • NLI Signing Day 2017
I believe we have an educated fan base, and we know we can't become contenders overnight. Finding a QB (QBs) and a RB (RBs) are key ... we do have some studs to replace, like Inoke... I was hoping for 5 wins last year. ... I think Jamison could really emerge, along with Bennett, Rodgers, and Franklin... Gould's class was supposed to be top notch, so we'll see.
