Not a "team" national championship, but Derek Moore did win UCD's only D1 national championship in 2007. Not only national champ, but undefeated and voted most outstanding wrestler of the tournament. Too bad Davis dropped the program.

What is going on with UCSB? They beat a very good USF early in the year, then barely beat Davis, and lose 81-60 to Fullerton last night.

I learned something new today. John Madden, Bill Walsh, and Julian Edelman all played at CSM. It will be interesting to see how Bennett Williams turns things around. If his little brother makes his way to Davis, maybe the "package deal" isn't too far fetched.

Hmm, interesting. Looks like the older brother was kicked off the Illinois team for "violating team rules," similar to Chima Moneke last year. Bennett Williams is back in the Bay Area playing for the College of San Mateo Bulldogs. Hopefully Evan Williams learns from his older bother's mistakes.

I love that Next Level shirt! Our son plays Next Level flag football at Serra in San Mateo, and it's a great program. I'm guessing this kid is a current student coach. Fingers crossed he makes his way to Davis.

@CK2, I remember that Bloomsburg game. That second half was really rough to watch. A group of us went to the Paragon afterward, and some older Bloomsburg fans came in bragging and badmouthing the Davis players. That didn't go over too well with the recent alumni/former players in my group.
