I feel like the front row is too close/low. It makes it hard to see the sideline plays since the players on the sideline block the view. But it is fun cheering on the guys who are so close!

This. I'd never heard of Mercer, and I'm guessing most of the South has never heard of Davis. To have that game be nationally televised, then to also have those two teams ranked in the top ten with a possible rematch makes things exciting. Good/bad, right/wrong, people spent this season talking about Davis and Mercer and the game that never happened.
