So am I getting it right that the women's tournament no longer has the regional games? When they played Stanford in the first round a couple years ago, it seemed like seeding wouldn't have made any difference.

My wife had a business trip to meet with Expedia (?) at their offices in Seattle (?) years ago (can't remember the details of exactly which company and city...). She booked everything through Expedia (?), and when the meeting changed, she had a hell of a time changing reservations. I don't think her meeting went well when it finally happened.

Oh man, this guy is pretty special to me, even though I'm not sure I ever met him in person. When I was in HS, he called and asked me to join some oddball math program when it was time to register for classes in the fall. I had no idea what I was getting myself in to, but as a chemistry major, he had me sign up for the 21 series calculus (when I only needed the 16 series). I ended up being in a class of 40, with 4 hours of "lab" each week. It turned out I was one of two kids in the class who hadn't taken calculus in HS. I ended up changing my major from chemistry to chemical engineering my sophomore year, and would never have been able to do so if it hadn't been for Dr. Kouba reaching out to me. To this day, I still don't know why he reached out to me.

Edit - Well, look at that. This was a part of the Emerging Scholars Program that Dr. Kouba was in charge of. I'm assuming one of my HS math teachers reached out to Dr. Kouba on my behalf, without me knowing.

He sure was. He and Derek Moore (2007 national champion) teamed up and coach down at Cal Baptist now, and appear to be developing a pretty solid program.

Regarding the USF gym, my wife went to USF (and my brother and sister-in-law who set us up), and we've had fun times in that gym. 10+ years ago we watched USF beat Gonzaga, which was an awesome night. Say what you want about outdated gyms, but it's really nice in there, in my opinion. There is a ton of history in that building. When we were there for the Davis game a year or two ago, I had to give a group of 10 or so young, drunk Davis grads a history lesson about Bob St. Claire. "Woah..."
