got it. From across the arena it looked like a person younger than Tom.

At one point, we had Wilson, Rawlins and Stokes on the court.....i can't recall us ever having 3 freshmen on the court at the same time in a 'real game' during crunch time.

I think the depth chart updater is out for the season. I was talking to someone in the know last night about injuries and it sounds like the DB situation is dire. Vargas is a big concern for me - he had pads on in second half, but no helmet and never near the coaches.

I don’t think Abatemarco was the color person last night. I was at the game so haven’t seen the feed, but from across the building that person looked much younger. I’ll try to watch the intro.

The second half team played really well. First half defense was good but it seemed like the offense was really stagnant. Lots of contributors last night. I missed that Daugherty was out - that’s an offensive threat we could have used.

Rebounding is a concern, especially offensive. It felt like most of the Bison’s first half points were on second or third chances.

Lousy crowd but typical of early November. I got into town around 4:30 for dinner and it felt like the town and campus were dead.

Someone mentioned the points off turnovers. I was really surprised that we had 18 turnovers (Cooper had 6!) last night - it didn’t seem like we were overly sloppy with the ball.

hard to argue with the analysis although I think our inability to pull away in the first half had alot to do with mass substitutions and different combinations.

Easier for Bison to get up for a game in front of several thousand vs a WCC tesm, then a couple hundred vs a DII. Hope we come out strong

it looked like things slowed down for him (small sample size of course). Sevilla is still a smart player who can get hot. Niko is a force inside on defense. Adding a mature Cooper really stabilizes the starting group.

I asked Greg Wong one night what station they were on and he said internet-only. I’m guessing that the case for all preempted broadcasts
  • WEEK 11: UC Davis @ Idaho
After listening to the Monday press conference, I’m really worried about our health on offense. It sounds like a big part of the red zone issues were due to Vargas, Dobbins and Jones being out. I don’t rent if the last two cans back in, but Vargas had his helmet off the entire second half.

I think ISU has a better passing attack; apparently the WR set really hurt us.

He got cut under the eye. They were speculating he may need stitches.

I like Suljanovic - I think he's gonna to be a nice addition.

I had forgotten about Jalen Stokes. I watched him the past few years at Daugherty Valley in San Ramon.

Portal runs Jan 2-16 now, so nothing official. Not sure if there are guys who have left or recruits that have decommited. I honestly haven't paid much attention to them outside of this thread.

Looking forward to making the trip up Wednesday for the real home opener. Hopefully a better turnout than tonight!

Agree. We've haven't been great finishers in recent years. Menlo is pretty athletic for a lower level team, and they seem to be forcing our guys to rush in the paint.

Les won't like the 60% FT!

Lots of new pieces that look like they can really help. Our offense and defense isn't something that transfers can just slip into and feel comfortable. It will take some time.

The inability to make shots in the paint is keeping this close

    yes.

Ragged start to half. No continuity with fouls. Offense is still ragged. Seem too rushed near the hoop

Daugherty and Wilson are a combined 2-13 and i swear most of those were shots within 2 feet of the bucket. 4-12 from 3's, 1-8 not counting Connor. We haven't taken advantage of their fouls -> we're missing many of the front end of the 1-1. We really have to be tougher on the boards.
  • MBB: Menlo College (0-0) at UC Davis (0-0), Monday Nov. 3, 5 pm
Offense has been ragged. Missing a ton of layups, and not great from the arc except Sevilla.

New color man is Tom Abatemarco who is our general manager and long time coach.

Sevilla has really filled out. They are relentless on defense.
