I purchased seats on the Monday after the brackets were announced. I was not given the option to choose seats; I had to take the "best available" option, which was not great. It appears they started filling the Premium seats from the outside - in. In other words, they start at the 35 yard line and work toward the 50 yard line. My seats aren't bad, but it was not at all to my advantage to get my tickets early. I think it is all AI in charge or some undergrad who hates football.

I don't know how you all feel, but "not losing" games is not the same as "winning" games. I think we are peaking at the right time, but #4 is just a bubble.
  • 2024 Week 7: Cal Poly (2-3) @ UC Davis (5-1) Homecoming + Battle for the Golden Horseshoe
At the Toom, they would throw hard candy into the stands. My wife was struck in her glasses and they cracked. Athletics had to buy her a new pair of glasses.
  • 2024 Week 5: Idaho (3-1) @ UC Davis (3-1)
Also, at 7:22 in the first quarter, there was a timeout for something, as Idaho was driving and about to shut the door with a 2nd early score, the Aggies were in a giant huddle on the sidelines trying to regroup. Except for #19, who was too busy dancing to the piped-in music to pay any attention. I know who wears that # on offense, but I have not taken the time to see if there is a 19 on defense. I was disappointed.

I am an avid fan and live close, yet I do not go to many games in person. Watching on TV is much more convenient, and that is on me. I can afford to go, and I am available to go.
However, watching the Idaho game on TV I noticed a sea of blue empty seats in the Team Aggie area. Aren't these seats already purchased and paid for? Where are these people? Are these seats available somewhere without being Team Aggie? I used to have Team Aggie season tickets at the Toom, but I have been priced out.
  • 2024 Week 4: Utah Tech (0-3) @ UC Davis (2-1)
I am a Band-uh Alum from the late 80s and early 90s. It breaks my heart seeing what is out there now. The blue color is just horrible. It went from Pride of the Regents to an average high school band.

Fubo.tv has a one-week free trial that includes Pac12 Bay Area on the Elite or Premier package. The game is listed, and you can even record the game in the cloud, just in case you have connection issues or want to watch the game when you get home from Berkeley.

Larison reminds me of Christian McCaffrey.
  • Keelan Doss: Raider Watch
I saw him go in for one play. Look at the bottom of the screen with 10:00 remaining in the 4th. #18.
  • Week 2: UC Davis @ San Diego
I am unclear on the rules: What would have happened if the fumble was recovered in the end zone by USD? Can you fumble-advance a ball forward into the end zone for a touchdown? I would think it would result in a forward-lateral penalty and they would get the ball back with two seconds left to run another play.
  • Aggies vs Bears
I talked to the Cal box office a couple days ago. I was told that the visitor sections are P, O, and OO. They are $35 plus $4 each ticket service charge. The top half of these sections are not available. I am wondering if these were purchased as a block by UCD Athletics, will be sold by the UCD box office at some point, or are generally not available unless the bottom fills up.

  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
I was thinking the Causeway Monsoon was the Mud Bowl Causeway in 2000 at Hughes Stadium (home game) when we won in a monsoon and mud 13-10. My clothes are still wet from that one. The only significant play was a long post TD to Onome Ojo, one of the best players to ever wear the Aggie uniform. Unfortunately, I just found this recent article about him.https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2018/02/01/former-nfl-player-idd-as-richmond-cop-badly-hurt-in-sideshow-teens-charged-with-attempting-to-murder-him/
