St. George was a unique experience. It felt like another planet. It was my fist time in that part of Utah.
I enjoyed Weber State as well. Flying into Salt Lake and seeing that area was cool. Weber has a nice stadium, as does Utah Tech. I've never been to Southern Utah, but many on here have.

I say go to both WSU and SUU! If I had to choose one it'd be Weber for ease of travel and atmosphere.

Very impressive that an FCS school moving up to FBS makes their new FBS conference better

Great scene and fun atmosphere today out on G. Street. I was able to make it out to watch the game....something I'd been meaning to do. They should do this for big road Aggie football games as well.

We have nice and adequate facilities now. There are a lot of really nice FCS stadiums / facilities all over the country.

If we aren't better than San Jose State, UTEP and Air Force, we have big problems. 7th sounds about right.

I’m a think big type of person. I also know it takes money to grow, not just in sports but in all facets of like. Can’t really get places with a something for nothing mindset.Akiltopmack99

Davis athletics has trouble getting places in any sort of acceptable timespan. Davis athletics has had to operate with a something-for-nothing mindset for many decades. It arguably took us 30 years to move from D2. Hawkins was able to kickstart things (more than a decade late from the FCS move) from a facilities standpoint.

Things are getting better. We need to continue employing motivated, passionate folks or things get stagnant fast in Davis.
  • Aggie Ascent - Facilities Master Plan Release
Historically we get a big media releases when there is a donation...like with Aggie Stadium, and Edwards.
All we've seen is an email and campaign asking for us to pay for it, right? It doesn't appear that there is big money pouring in. I'm pretty sure we'd be hearing all about it.

We seem to be lacking much, if any, corporate interest.

There isn’t a donor in place to fund the projectLeFan

Main problem #1. No money, no buildey.

there isn’t demand to lease the suites.LeFan

Main problem #1a. One of causes of problem #1.

"But some actions went far beyond disagreement. Personal threats, intimidation, repeated visits to my home, and efforts to involve family members in a university decision crossed a line that should matter to everyone in our community.

In addition, images from my personal social media — showing my daughter with UC Davis cheerleaders at home games — were used to suggest that I elevated our STUNT program for her benefit or for her potential future involvement at UC Davis.

    That allegation is entirely false.

My daughter has been a patient at Shriners Children's for much of her life, and her condition has never allowed her to participate in sports — let alone something as physically demanding as cheerleading. There is never a reason to bring families into professional matters, and those who weaponized a false assumption to repeatedly use online, on campus, and in public meetings should be ashamed."

    These people lost their minds.

Unpopular opinion, I'm sure....but this rendering is drab. Especially the West Elevation ("Main Concourse Elevation Facing East")

I'm sure it'll look nice, but they could have done a better job on this rendering.

So.....after all that....playing at Hornet Stadium in September? lol

TBH the Sac / SDSU situations further my feeling that Big Sky football is just fine for Davis for the foreseeable future.

Got a really good feeling about Cleeland...call it a hunch!
  • 2026 Week 1: UC Davis @ Portland State
I thought the Spear helmet was tough (a little Hawaii-ish though). They did a good job with the recent PS shield logo. It is unique and recognizable.

Program needs a huge amount of money to come in. We aren't going to wing it like our neighbors.
My timeline for anything to happen with football is probably farther out than many here. Which is not bad IMO.

Tony Kays a modern example as well.
  • 2026 preseason thread
Yep....every starting QB has a 1st start. Pinnick turned out nicely. I think Cleeland is going to be a good one as well. If there's one thing I'm not worried about, its QB1.
