I may have been prescient. As of today, the ucdavisaggies.com website has the women's basketball victory and score, but shows the current Causeway Cup points at 30-5. Hopefully by the time anyone checks this out it will have been corrected and I can be accused of fake news, in which event I will enter politics.

...and to beat this to death, under the previous scoring system, where football, volleyball and basketball were worth ten points, we would now have 55 points of a possible 100 and would have wrapped this thing up before Christmas.

    Go Ags!

You are correct. ...and to think someone started this thread noting that the men's earlier basketball win gave the Ags 30 points.

    Thanks

WIth the resounding victory in women's basketball this afternoon, Davis leads the Causeway Cup competition, 30-5, out of a total of 80 points.

Ags swept what used to the the 10 point matches: football, volleyball and both basketball games.
  • WBB: Aggies @ Sac State
This puts the Causeway Cup standings at UCD 35, Slack State 5 out of a total of 80 points.

  • The Search for a New Chancellor
Beating a dead horse here, but this is why the university needs to approve outside jobs. DeVry, the "for profit" "university" on whose board Katehi accepted a position, just settled with the FTC for $100 million for false advertising. That's not Aggie Pride.

  • I don't know the legitimacy of this... but Dan Hawkins to coach UC Davis
Beyond my abilities to cut and paste the thing, but someone sent me a photo, which they apparently found on Hawkin's Facebook page, of the 1985 coaching staff.....Sochor, Foster, Biggs, Hawkins, Gross, others I can't name. Nice to bring back those memories....
  • 6'5" Alabama QB w 2 yrs left available now
The Ducks might be salivating over a QB with a degree and TWO years left. They may be tired of this one and done approach.

So you can get a degree at 'Bama, the Harvard of Dixie, in about three years while playing an intercollegiate sport?
  • MEN'S WATER POLO
Cal upset #1 USC in OT, 11-8, to win the championship.

    What we missed:

    Semi-finals:

    USC 19, Harvard 4

A mild upset: Cal 9, UCLA 8 OT
  • MEN'S WATER POLO
Cal toyed with Pomona-Pitzer in the other play-in, with the Bears defeating the Sagehens, 16-6. Saturdays semi-finals will be Cal v. UCLA and Harvard v. USC. Winners meet on Sunday.

Great year for the Aggie men. Final Four next year!!
  • MEN'S WATER POLO
That was as bad a streaming feed as I have seen, embellished by some Hahvahd commentary on the side. This is the fourth time Davis has played Harvard in school history, the third time this season. Every game has been decided by one goal. Too bad this one went the wrong way. Congratulations to the Crimson.
  • 2017 schedule
Could hazard a guess that we will be away at Slack State on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
  • FB: Watch Dan Hawkins Press Conference Right Here at 10 AM
About a month ago I was waiting in line for a flight from Burbank to Sacramento that went on to Boise. Hawk was standing in the front of whatever line I was in, probably Z 30 to Z 60. I assumed he was probably heading on to Boise. Now I wonder if he stopped off in the Sacramento area for a look around and to spread his resume...Looked like a slightly aging college kid..jeans, backpack, playing with his phone the entire time.

Good luck to him. Now if he has one more Chris Peterson card to pull from the deck. This is FCS football, baby! This ain't intramurals, brother!

I still associate USD with Harbaugh. Not fair to the Toreros because Harbaugh is three whining jobs past them, but I really wish Cal Poly had won.

Score from the east: Harvard 13, Bucknell 12.

Ags will play Harvard on Thursday in Berkeley.

Sorry, it's been a long time since I studied contracts, but I still act like I am being paid by the word.
