Losing the entire outfield and senior arms will be a huge challenge. Definitely less big bats in the lineup going forward. Good contact bats are making for a very nice future, but the offense will change with Anderson and Hooper gone.

Looking forward to juco big arms and Jalen Smith. Smith will likely be able to play in several positions.

GoAgs is spot on with the rotation. I hope Irwin gets a starting role, but he will be missed in long relief/close situations. They need to find that guy.

I believe Arenado will get strong consideration in a few positions.

The team will miss the bats leaving. Blais and Loar were big this year too. Young talent will get better, and hope to see some diamonds in the next class. Murray is a stud at SS.

I agree. Looks like Brown made them chase after his pitches all day. Anderson with two big flies and Hooper with a 3 run shot. Winning a series in Long Beach is huge. Looking forward to Fullerton coming to town this weekend.

What a game for Murray, offensively and defensively. Van Blake barrels ball more times than not. Brown pitched outstanding, in control the entire game. I like what I see.

Blais showed grit yesterday. Was in trouble for most of his outing, but was able to steer clear of danger for most of it. 1st inning error really hurt. Aggies lacking timely hitting right now. Should be a good series, if rain doesn't stop it.

Loar threw well yesterday, but Vaughn needs to figure out the pen. Relievers much more effective throwing 2 innings max. Silva, Trautner, and Rodriguez should get more opportunities. Hannah not blowing anyone away, but I have confidence in him. He's savvy and mentally tough. Wieser strong in relief.

Aggies have been on their heels the first two games. Creighton does a good job of putting pressure on the defense and putting balls in play. Our offense struggles a bit playing from behind. Need more of a small ball approach, moving guys over and sac flies. We need to put pressure on them. Hoping for a good start from Hannah today.

Very unusual that the Aggies have yet to post a roster. I have to assume they are still making cuts even though they play this weekend? What is everyone hearing?

Not a scout or coach (anymore). Just a retired former coach who enjoys spending time watching local baseball. I don't know all of the new position players yet. Aredondo (first name escapes me) looks like a good athlete. Briggs, Anderson, and Hooper should be a strong core of offensive weapons.

Keep your eye on some new freshmen pitchers. Brock Moffitt is a lefty who will eventually be a Friday or Saturday guy, as early as next year. Good command and mound presence. Rodriguez has a lot of potential and easy delivery. Jared Sasaki is tall and well built, and has looked good in Fall. They all may find a role this year.
